During the COVID-19 Pandemic, I was laid off, and to maintain my skill and be productive, I undertook this project that was a love letter to Mario, what he represented to me, and what I thought a massively messed up and disjointed Mushroom Kingdom would look like after Luigi decided he was done being #2 and recruited powerful cronies and took over Bowser's forces and decided to invade and conquer dimensions from all sorts of shows and games from across a multitude of geek culture. Of course, even though he gets far, he is still usurped by an incredibly powered up and invincible Mario who lets him know his place in the bigger picture.
